Melbourne, Australia – Boasting an increased 253kW of power and 371Nm of torque, Nissan's 370Z NISMO Coupe is the most powerful Z ever offered in Australia - and it's on sale now.

A genuine high performance sportscar - and the second Nissan nameplate to receive the NISMO treatment following the arrival for the GT-R earlier this year - the 370Z NISMO embodies NISMO's passion for motorsport, technology and performance - the cornerstones of the brand for over 30 years.

Never before offered in the local market, the Nissan 370Z NISMO Coupe is the new flagship of the 370Z range.

Its powerful 3.7 litre V6 engine is identical to that of the standard 370Z but adds an extra 8kW of power and 8Nm of torque. This is achieved by the exclusive H-configured exhaust system design and muffler tuning, along with ECM (Engine Control Module) calibration, which reduces back pressure by up to 30 per cent.

Already known for its impressive ride characteristics, the 370Z NISMO's front and rear suspension have been dynamically tuned with increased spring, dampening and stabiliser rates offering even better handling, while its tight, rigid body structure, strut tower bar brace and performance dampers help control body vibration.

Further, its sporty feel is optimised by NISMO sports brakes with large diameter 14-inch front and 13.8-inch rear vented rotors with four-piston front and two-piston rear aluminium calipers.

Ensuring it looks the part on the road, the 370Z NISMO features a fully integrated NISMO body kit that not only adds to its aggressive look but provides more front and rear downforce.

The exterior package includes NISMO unique front and rear fascia and side sills, NISMO rear spoiler, side mirrors, dual exhaust and engine cover, plus NISMO 19-inch forged alloy wheels by RAYS, and NISMO badging.

Inside, occupants enjoy the drive in NISMO RECARO black and red Alcantara leather accented front seats, while the steering wheel uses the same materials and incorporates a signature red centre line. It also features NISMO signature red interior stitching, NISMO tacho, paddle shifters (on the auto option) and a red highlighted push button start.

Starting at $61,490 (MSRP) for the silky smooth 6-speed manual transmission variant, the 370Z NISMO Coupe also has a 7-speed automatic option - incorporating a manual mode controlled by paddle shifters - for $63,990 (MSRP).

With almost 4,200 domestic 370Z sales since its April 2009 debut, the NISMO variant has satellite navigation with 3D mapping, a seven-inch integrated colour touch screen and Bluetooth as standard equipment. It also features Nissan's Premium Braking System, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Anti-lock Braking (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) and dual front, side and curtain airbags.

Available in four contemporary colours comprising Eau Rouge Red, Diamond Black, Brilliant Silver and Shiro White, the Nissan 370Z NISMO goes on sale today at authorised Nissan dealerships nationally.
