TAILEM BEND, South Australia, Australia – Nissan Motorsport's weekend at Supercars' newest facility, The Bend Motorsports Park, was highlighted by a double podium finish for Rick Kelly and Michael Caruso.
Caruso and Kelly locked out the second row of the grid for Saturday's race, with Caruso starting third and Kelly fourth in their Nissan Altimas.
The teammates battled it out at the start of the race with Kelly ultimately getting around Caruso and moving up to second place. Caruso was able to keep challengers at bay and secure the double podium for Nissan with third place.
"This is a fantastic result here at The Bend," said Caruso. "The car has been speedy all weekend, and it was great to be able to convert that and bring some trophies home. To get two cars on the podium is a great feeling for the whole team. The battle with Rick was a lot of fun and demonstrated how this track can produce some good racing."

Caruso and Kelly backed up the performance of the Nissan squad with strong showings in the second race of the weekend.
Kelly qualified second in the race and ran strong until a gear sensor issue ultimately knocked him out of contention. However, his strong showing the previous day helps solidify him in the top 10 in the championship where he currently sits seventh.
Caruso qualified just behind Kelly in third and raced his Nissan Altima to a top 10 finish, bringing the car home ninth at the line.
Next up for the Nissan Supercars squad is the Sandown 500, part of the PIRTEK Enduro Cup, 14-16 September.
