Being simply but amazing, the All-New Nissan LEAF is Nissan's vision at the future of mobility. This 2nd generation of Nissan LEAF offers customers greater range, advanced technologies and a dynamic new design. Drivers will feel more confident, excited and connected thanks to Nissan Intelligent Mobility, the company's approach to changing the way cars are driven, powered and integrated into society that will help move people to a better world, a world that is more electric, more connected and more autonomous.

The three key aspects of Nissan Intelligent Mobility exemplified by the All-New Nissan LEAF are Intelligent Driving, Intelligent Power, and Nissan Intelligent Integration.

Intelligent Driving

Headlining the All-New Nissan LEAF's Intelligent Driving technology are e-Pedal and the company's heralded Nissan Safety Shield.

e-Pedal, offered as standard equipment, This innovation enhance the Nissan LEAF's driving experience by allowing the driver with simplicity of starting, accelerating, decelerating, stopping and holding the car with the one single accelerator pedal, a revolutionary innovation that changes the way people drive.

The car glides to a smooth and complete stop by simply releasing the accelerator pedal without the need to brake.  The e-Pedal eliminates the need for drivers to constantly move their foot from the accelerator to the brake to slow down or stop. It reduces fatigue and increases enjoyment especially when driving in cities.

Studies by Nissan in Japan, Europe and the U.S. have showed that the Nissan's e-Pedal reduces the number of times the driver uses the brakes while commuting in heavy traffic. the e-Pedal lets drivers use a single pedal for more than 90% of their driving needs compared a conventional brake pedal that is still engaged during aggressive braking maneuvers.

The All-New Nissan LEAF is also equipped with a set of advanced safety technologies including Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Forward Emergency Braking (FEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Intelligent Around View Monitor (IAVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD), Active Trace Control (ATC) and Driver Attention Alert (DAA).

Intelligent Power

The All-New Nissan LEAF e-Powertrain offers improved energy efficiency while delivering increased torque and power output.  The new e-Powertrain delivers an exhilarating, linear driving performance with power output of 110 kW, 38% more than the previous-generation Nissan LEAF.  Torque is also boosted by 26% to 320 Nm, resulting in improved acceleration.

Existing Nissan LEAF drivers already love the instant response and linearity of performance as they navigate the city. The All-New Nissan LEAF's improved acceleration boosts enjoyment even further.

The All-New Nissan LEAF's driving range has been increased. The car's new lithium-ion battery pack delivers an estimated range of 311 km According to NEDC standard, Thailand Standard tested mode, that should satisfy the daily driving needs of most customers.

A new battery design adds energy-storage capacity without increasing the size. The battery pack occupies the exact same dimensions as that of the 2010 LEAF. The individual cell structure of its laminated lithium-ion battery cells is improved, representing over 60% increase in energy density when compared to the previous-generation. The lithium-ion battery pack also uses enhanced electrode materials with revised chemistry, resulting in higher power density while contributing to greater battery durability on charge and discharge.

Intelligent Integration

The All-New Nissan LEAF's battery makes it possible to store surplus power during the daytime and then use it to help power the home in the evening using vehicle-to-grid systems.  The smart integration of electric vehicles in the grid will radically change the energy landscape, allowing each Nissan EV owner to actively contribute to the stability of their nation grid and the further penetration of renewable engery sources. Customer can also recharge the battery at night, when prices are lowest to reduce energy costs.

Chassis and body

The All-New Nissan LEAF excels When it comes to performance and agility after Nissan engineers enhanced the car's chassis for better stability. The All-New Nissan LEAF's electric power steering system is more linear that enhances confidence, especially on highways.  This comes from a software upgrade, new control logic working in conjunction with the steering angle sensor, and a 10% increase in steering torsion bar stiffness.

The urethane bump stop in the rear suspension was replaced with a rubber one to smooth the ride on uneven roads. The All-New Nissan LEAF also comes with Intelligent Ride Control for precise electric motor torque control generation when cornering.

Exterior design: sleek silhouette and "cool tech attitude"

The All-New Nissan LEAF's design shows Nissan's forward-thinking design of "cool-tech attitude" and its pioneering approach to the world's best-selling electric vehicle.

This was inspired by the IDS Concept car, first shown at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. The sporty, eye-catching body represents the car's dynamic EV personality. The philosophy behind the exterior design focuses on clean and simple lines and a robust and sleek silhouette. The horizontal character line emphasizes a lower center of gravity, giving the beholder an instinctive feeling that it's agile and fun to drive.

The signature V-Motion grille, with "boomerang" tail lights and floating roof line emphasizes Nissan's brand ethos, giving the All-New Nissan LEAF an appearance similar to other Nissan models

A clear-blue 3D mesh pattern with a "freezing" motif, on a flush surface inside the V-Motion grille, signals the Nissan LEAF's uniqueness as an EV.

In a first for Nissan the all-new Nissan LEAF's projector-beam headlights with Daytime Runing Light are equipped dual, direct-lens low and high beams. This improves visibility and safety while achieving an optimal balance between design and functionality.

The rear combination lamps feature a unique signature that's easily recognizable from a distance. A spoiler is integrated into the window graphics giving the All-New Nissan LEAF an impressive, sporty look. The low hood blends flawlessly into the windshield and floating roof line, creating a sleek silhouette that helps air flow and aerodynamics.

The underfloor and a diffuser-type rear bumper combine to achieve reduced drag and zero lift, resulting in improved vehicle stability.  The drag coefficient of the All-New Nissan LEAF is a low 0.28 thanks to the aerodynamic body styling, including a rear bumper with a clear-cut curve and aero-design wheels.

The angle of the charging port at the front has been reconfigured for greater convenience, letting the customer connect charging cable without bending. Ergonomic testing by Nissan shows that this new 45-degree angle allows drivers of all heights to easily and comfortably connect the charger.

Interior: premium ambience with a clean, relaxed, high-tech feeling

The All-New Nissan LEAF's cabin is roomy and open as part of its "Gliding Wing" brand design language used as a framework.

The redesigned driver information display has a simple, light configuration without excessive decoration. It focuses on visibility, and creating a tasteful, understated look and feel with excellent functionality.  The All-New Nissan LEAF gives drivers the information they need where they need it. This helps them focus on what really matters the most: an enjoyable drive.

Customers will immediately notice the vibrant blue stitching, a hallmark of Nissan EVs, in the seats, door trim, armrest and steering wheel. The blue power switch and shift knob finish create a cool, high-tech feeling.

Monitors and switches are all redesigned for smart, stress-free operation. Most notable is the analog speedometer and a multi-information display.  The 7-inch, full-color, thin-film transistor (TFT) display shows a power gauge meter as the standard setting.  Any driver can easily change the information displayed. The center display screen features a flush-surface design that lets the driver to easily activate audio.  It also displays the vehicle's state-of-charge and power gauge as part of the Safety Shield technology, plus audio and navigation system information.

The  All-New Nissan LEAF's cabin stays very quiet even on highway rides because of aerodynamic upgrades and exterior refinements that reduce wind noise.

Other noise-reduction measures include optimization of the redesigned inverter's structural rigidity, and a noise-isolating cover on top of the PDM. The noise from the electric motor itself is reduced, even as it generates more torque and power than ever before.

Dual cup holders, in a tandem configuration, are now between the driver's seat and front passenger seat.  This allows for an increased stowage area near the center console – ideal for a smartphone or wallet – plus an easily accessible 12-volt power outlet and a USB port.

Energy-efficient air-conditioning and heating systems provide elevated comfort inside the cabin.

The lithium-ion battery pack energy capacity is significantly increased, while the dimensions remain essentially unchanged, so the cabin comfortably accommodates five people.  Plus, the rear cargo area is redesigned to provide increased luggage space, offering 435 liters (VDA) of available storage. The rear cargo area also can now accommodate two large suitcases or three medium-sized suitcases.

Color design: a lineup that meets customers' tastes

The All-New Nissan LEAF is now available in Brillant White Pearl and Super Black two tones color.. The clean black interior design ethos extends with the blue stitch seating.

As the all black interior gives an air of cool sophistication, discreetly enhanced by lighter accents on the seats.  The surface contrast with the dark gray accents of the central console, binnacle, lower and upper dashboard sections and steering wheel.
