Nissan Korea (CEO: Sung-joong Huh) will provide buyers of the new Nissan LEAF, the world's best-selling electric vehicle (EV), with additional benefits under the 'Nissan LEAF Customer Care' program.

The first 300 new Nissan LEAF purchasers will receive a 'Nissan LEAF Premium Membership Service Card' with total benefits of up to KRW 3.3 million (provided in Shinhan Card points). It provides vehicle-related benefits of up to KRW 2.5 million, such as home charger installation fee support. Additional benefits include up to KRW 800,000 or charging membership point support, Hi-pass cashback, and 50% discount at popular coffee shops and movie theaters when installing a charger through POSCO ICT, the official partner of Nissan in Korea. Other benefits for customers considering long-distance trips and drives include a 50% KTX discount and 10% discount off major airlines.

To further improve the EV ownership experience, customers can also join the EV Customer–Care Program (ECCP). A team of EV experts will assist in providing information on the overall EV purchase process such as applying for a subsidy, as well as installing and using a charger. Moreover, customers will be able to experience smooth customer services through an exclusive EV customer support center at each showroom. Unexpected electric discharge can also be handled through the 24-hour emergency rescue service (within the new car warranty period). Also, the 'Mobility Guarantee' service provides support of up to KRW 200,000 to return home if the car can no longer be operated due to a vehicle defect during a long-distance drive of over 100 kilometers from home (conditions apply).

The new Nissan LEAF comes with improved warranty conditions. Apart from the new car warranty of 3-years or 100,000km, the EV warranty policy will provide a 5-year/100,000km coverage on EV system parts, 8-year/100,000km coverage on lithium-ion battery and 8-year/160,000km coverage on battery capacity.

The new Nissan LEAF, the world's first mass produced EV, became the first EV in history to hit cumulative sales of 400,000 units (as of March 2019. The second-generation new Nissan LEAF developed based on Nissan's R&D know-how and customer data accumulated over a long period of time, offers increased mileage compared to the previous model, improved acceleration performance and dynamic new design. In addition, safety features based on 'Nissan Intelligent Mobility', Nissan's future technology direction, such as the Intelligent Around View Monitor, Intelligent Distance Control and Intelligent Emergency Braking have been installed en masse. The new New Nissan LEAF will be launched in two trims of S and SL and priced between KRW41.90million~KRW49million. The South Korean government will provide subsidies of KRW9million for the new Nissan LEAF this year and local subsidies priced between KRW4.5million~KRW10million will be offered according to region.
