KUALA LUMPUR – Nissan and Edaran Tan Chong Motor Motor have launched the new Serena S-Hybrid in Malaysia, with advanced technologies and convenient features to appeal to even more families.
The Serena minivan has long been one of the most popular family vehicles in Japan and other markets because of its smooth and spacious drive and family-friendly features. The new evolution of the minivan for Malaysia has an even roomier interior, exceptional fuel economy and a range of innovations.

Tan Chong Motor is the sole distributor and assembler of Nissan vehicles in Malaysia.
The new model comes with Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies, for a safer and more confident drive, including first-in-its-class Intelligent Around View Monitor. This technology uses four cameras that provide a 360° bird's-eye view of the vehicle for easier navigation and parking.
Intelligent Moving Object Detection detects and alerts the driver to moving objects surrounding the vehicle, while Intelligent Driver Alertness helps detect potential driver fatigue and inattentiveness. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow you to control many of your apps on your smartphone through touch-screen display and voice command in the car.

The new 7-seat Serena features hands-free sliding doors, which open and close by simply moving your foot under the sensor. Other features include dual back door that can be opened easily even in tight parking spaces, capless fuel filler for more convenient refuelling, and seven USB ports for all on board.
It also has a more dynamic and sporty design that features a V-Motion front grille, dual layer LED headlamp and LED signature lamp, floating roof design that highlights the spacious cabin, and LED tail lamps that are now fashioned with a distinctive s-shaped design.
Improvements to the 2.0L engine have resulted in the best-in-class fuel economy of 14.2 km/L (NEDC R101), earning the new Serena the status of Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) for the Malaysian market.
The interior space is the largest and most flexible in its class. The MPV now comes with extended interior length by 180mm, additional 20mm and 65mm for its height and width respectively, providing more room between all seats and space for passengers.
