Nissan Korea (CEO: Sung-joong Huh) selected Simon Dominic, a talented hip-hop musician, as its PR ambassador for The New Nissan X-Trail ahead of the official launch next month.

Simon Dominic is currently enjoying his second heyday as an artist. Since June this year, he has been actively performing in various featuring works after releasing a series of new albums, 'DARKROOM: roommates only' and 'Me No Jay Park' sweeping top rankings on music charts. He also appeared on MBC's entertainment program 'I Live Alone' to reveal his daily life, which was quite different from the one on stage. The broadcasting showing his ordinary routine was positively received by the public as a more attractive image because he joyfully transformed the everyday life into music and dance. At the end of this month, he will perform at the 'KSTAR Super Concert' with various AOMG celebrities, of which all the tickets were sold out for two consecutive years, providing a heated year-end event for fans.

Having been active throughout the hip-hop and entertainment industries, Simon Dominic will meet with Nissan X-Trail, the world's most beloved mid-sized SUV. The X-Trail is Nissan's flagship model with accumulated sales of 6 million units. Developed for the people with adventurous lifestyle, it boasts a dynamic design. In addition, the world recognized its commercial appeal with an optimal mix of load space with advanced convenience and safety technologies based on Nissan Intelligent Mobility. As a result, a total of 814,000 units were sold last year alone, winning the title of the global best-selling SUV.

On December 8, Simon Dominic started his first career as a PR ambassador at the pre-launching event of The New Nissan X-Trail, 'Nissan X-citing Hip-Hop Concert' held in Seongsu-dong. After the official launch in January, he will be given The New X-Trail model and shoot an promotional video called 'X-citing day of Simon Dominic with The New X-Trail' (tentative name).

Simon Dominic said, "I'm very happy to be selected as the ambassador of The New Nissan X-Trail that is popular around the world. By participating in various events, I will do my best to promote the unique and exciting charms of the model."

Meanwhile, the company will receive pre-orders for The New Nissan X-Trail until December 31, and is planning to set out more active marketing campaigns for consumers, while choosing Simon Dominic as the ambassador at the same time.
