Lotus F1 Junior team and 2015 Renault World Series race car driver, Marlon Stockinger, has been named as the official Mentor and Guest Judge of the finalists in the first Nissan GT Academy Philippines.

"We are fortunate to have Marlon Stockinger on our side," said Nissan Philippines, Inc. President and Managing Director Antonio Zara. "His extensive racing experience and knowledge will be invaluable to the finalists in the Race Camp week in August, as they compete with the rest of Asia's hopefuls in bringing home the honors of being the first Filipino GT Academy Asia champion. We are confident that, with his help, coupled with our finalists' drive to succeed, it is quite possible to see this dream come true."

Stockinger already garnered several titles and honors both in the local and international arena, such as the Formula BMW Pacific 2008 Championships, the Senior Rotax Max World Finals 2007, the Asian Karting Championship 2006, and Philippine Shell Super Karting Series 2002, to name a few. As a competitor in the Renault World Series championship, just one step below Formula One, Marlon will lend his expertise and considerable experience as the Mentor and Guest Judge to the Filipino finalists in the GT Academy.

"While I am happy to share my knowledge and experience in racing, nothing beats the determination and drive to succeed in this demanding sport. Remember, all my tips, all my coaching are for nothing if the finalist will not work hard to get the ultimate prize: winning the top spot, and being called the champion," Stockinger said.

Those who are still hoping to land a slot in the top twenty finalists listing can still catch up with the Nissan GT Academy Final Live Event, which will be held on June 26, 27 and 28, 2015 at the Glorietta 2 Activity Center.

For Stockinger's fans who wish to see him in action, he will be showing off his racing chops during the Globe Slipstream event on June 27 at the Bonifacio Global City.

"I would like to invite everyone to come and visit me at the Globe Slipstream event. I am happy that Nissan is a part of this activity by conducting a GT Academy Official Live Event onsite. Racing hopefuls who want to qualify in the top 20 can try out using the GTA Pods on display." Stockinger said.
