MELBOURNE, Australia – Nissan has confirmed the Australian pricing and model grades for the all-new Nissan QASHQAI, which goes on sale in Australia in July 2014.

The award-winning, critically acclaimed QASHQAI is one of Nissan's most successful models, with over two million sold globally since the previous generation debuted in 2007 and redefined the crossover hatch.

The all-new Nissan QASHQAI now sets out to offer even greater levels of premium comfort, innovative technologies and bold, attractive styling.

The QASHQAI will be available in Australia next month with both petrol and diesel engine options, each available in two grades.

The QASHQAI ST and Ti grades feature a 2.0-litre MR20 petrol engine, producing 106kW of power and 200Nm of torque. Both petrol grades are available with either six-speed manual or Xtronic transmissions.

The QASHQAI TS and TL grades are powered by a 1.6-litre R9M turbo diesel engine paired with an Xtronic transmission, producing 96kW of power and 320Nm of torque.

Braked towing capacity for the all-new QASHQAI is 1,200 kilograms for petrol engine Xtronic transmission models, and 1,400 kilograms for petrol engine manual transmission models and diesel engine grades.

Performance is enhanced by features such as Active Trace Control, Active Ride Control and Active Engine Brake. QASHQAI has independent strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension.

Technology offered on all grades in the all-new QASHQAI includes LED Daytime Running Lights, Hill Start Assist, Adjustable Steering Modes (offering Sport Mode with firmer feel and increased feedback), Electric Park Brake and NissanConnect™ smartphone connectivity, which provides integrated access to Apps on the user's smartphone. Apps include Facebook®, Pandora® and Google Online Search®.

QASHQAI Ti and TL grades include Intelligent Park Assist (featuring both reverse parallel and bay parking), Blind Spot Warning, Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Support, LED Headlights and High Beam Assist.

The driver-oriented interior features newly-designed spinal support seats and an enhanced console layout and keeps the driver informed via the Advanced Driver Assist Display. The versatile rear luggage area offers 16 different storage combinations.

The all-new Nissan QASHQAI is based on the new CMF (Common Module Family) Renault-Nissan Alliance platform, also used in the All-New Nissan X-TRAIL, bringing outstanding engineering efficiencies to the consumer.

The all-new Nissan QASHQAI was designed by Nissan Design Europe in London, engineered at the Nissan Technical Centre Europe facilities in Cranfield, UK and Barcelona, Spain and is built at the Nissan facility in Sunderland, UK. Extensive input has also come from Nissan designers and engineers from the Nissan Technical Centre in Atsugi, Japan.
