Nissan Korea – (CEO: Sung-joong Huh) will start selling the sixth-generation model of global bestseller in the mid-sized sedan category, the All-New Nissan Altima, at nationwide showrooms on July 16.

The All-New Nissan Altima is a fully redesigned sixth generation model and the dramatic changes on all aspects of the model showcase the prowess in quality that Nissan is known for in this grade of vehicles. The All-new Nissan Altima, with the lighter and stronger next-generation "D Platform" underneath, is longer by 25mm, lower by 25mm, and wider by 25mm than the outgoing model, and fully transformed to have a more stable and dynamic design. In particular, Nissan equipped the latest Altima with Nissan V-motion 2.0 concept car design, while maintaining the previous features as well, to stress a sportier and stronger exterior design than the previous model. The interior has been designed to provide a wide-open view in a spacious setting, to be in line with the low and elegant lines of the vehicle exterior and the wooden tone grey leather that wraps around the top parts of the dashboard creates great harmony with the chrome molding to give a classy feel.

For fun driving, which is the strength of Nissan, the All-New Nissan Altima installed two kinds of brand new engines for each trim, improving fuel efficiency and driving performance. In particular, the 2.0 turbo trim is equipped with a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine, a variable compression turbo engine that Nissan has succeeded in developing and producing on a mass scale for the first time in the world. In accordance with the driving conditions to set the compression, the engine enables a powerful driving performance, with a maximum output of 252 horsepower and maximum torque of 38.7kg·m, while maintaining an excellent fuel mileage of 12.2km/l. The '2.5-liter 4-cylinder direct injection gasoline engine' installed on 2.5 smart and 2.5SL tech, has also seen a dramatic improvement. More than 80% of parts and design elements in the existing engine have been re-designed and updated to give a maximum output of 184 horsepower, a maximum torque of 24.9kg·m, and a fuel mileage of 12.9 km/l. This makes the model one of the best in its grade in terms of fuel efficiency.

The features for safety were also reinforced significantly. In addition to 10 SRS air bags with the highest quality for similar grade, Nissan applied state-of-the-art technologies including pedestrian detection ▲ Intelligent Around-view Monitor, ▲ Intelligent Distance Control, ▲ Intelligent Lane Departure Prevention, ▲ Intelligent Driver Alertness to secure excellent stability.

Moreover, the All-New Nissan Altima comes with touchscreen and manual button for infotainment, allowing drivers to select their own usage method depending on their convenience and preference. 7.0 inch Advanced Drive Assist Display has also been installed to deliver key information regarding the vehicle to the driver in a prompt manner. Plus, Nissan's Zero Gravity Seats enhanced user convenience by optimizing comfort and stability on longer drives.

The prices of the All-New Altima are ▲2.5 smart KRW 29.6 million, ▲ 2.5SL Tech KRW 35.5 million, and ▲2.0 turbo 41.4 million for each trim (including VAT and reflecting the cut in individual consumption tax).
