  • Nissan to introduce Pathfinder Supercharged Hybrid and Pulsar SSS sedan turbo

MELBOURNE, Australia – Nissan is set to continue the renewal of its product line-up with confirmation of several exciting model launches in 2014.

The confirmations coincide with Nissan's annual National Dealer Meeting in Melbourne, Australia.

The all-new Nissan X-TRAIL, recently unveiled at the International Auto Show in Frankfurt, Germany, will go on-sale in Australia in the second quarter of the 2014 calendar year.

The popular X-TRAIL medium-sized SUV, one of Nissan's core models in the Australian market, will be available with seven seats for the first time. CLICK HERE for information from the global unveiling of the X-TRAIL.

With the all-new Nissan Pathfinder to launch in Australia this month, Nissan has also confirmed that a Pathfinder Supercharged Hybrid will follow in Q2 2014.

After the successful return of Pulsar to the Australian market in 2013, a Nissan Pulsar SSS sedan, featuring the same Direct Injection Gasoline Turbo (DIG Turbo) engine as the Pulsar SSS hatch, will go on-sale in Q2 2014.

Nissan has also confirmed that it will introduce the Qashqai nameplate to the Australian market for the first time when the next generation of its successful crossover is launched. Qashqai has already proved to be a successful crossover model in Europe and the Middle East.

"Nissan is set for a big end to 2013 with the launch of JUKE, Pathfinder and Altima and we look forward to taking that momentum into 2014 with these exciting new model launches," said Peter Jones, Managing Director and CEO, Nissan Motor Company Australia.

Nissan will launch the JUKE and Pathfinder models in the Australian market this month, with the Altima set to debut in November 2013.
