BANGKOK, THAILAND – Nissan Thailand welcomes a group of business Students from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia to Nissan's manufacturing hub in Thailand. The students are enrolled in a January Term course, "Consumer Insights in Thailand and Vietnam." Part of the course includes international travel to the ASEAN region to gain experience and learn more about businesses in Thailand and Vietnam. An alumnus of the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business and President of Nissan Thailand Isao Sekiguchi, along with the Nissan team opened its manufacturing floor and offered real-life knowledge and consumer insights about the automotive industry.

More than 20 students, Professor James Maxham, and Dean Nicole T. Jenkins also had a chance to visit the production line, to observe how Nissan Navara and Nissan Terra are assembled.

University of Virginia is one of the preeminent public Universities in the U.S., founded by Thomas Jefferson, the 3rd President of the United States.
