BANGKOK, THAILAND – Nissan Thailand visited the renowned Chulalongkorn University to share knowledge on automotive technology, specifically future advanced driving technology, electric vehicles, and the award-winning e-POWER technology, with students of the Faculty of Engineering as part of the company’s commitment to drive electrification awareness in Thailand.

Nissan also invited students to its plant in Samut Prakan Province for an observational study in order to provide students with a comprehensive experience with the brand. It began with a visit to the assembly line for e-POWER batteries at the Nissan Powertrain Thailand (NPT) plant, followed by the presentation of Nissan Energy Share concept at Nissan Electrification Experience Center (NEEC) where energy conversion between electric vehicles and electric systems is demonstrated. The Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) allows owners of 100% electric Nissan LEAF vehicles to utilize bi-directional charging technology. Bi-directional charging demonstrates the potential of an electric vehicle beyond mobility. At the same time, Nissan is providing students with fun and exciting experiences by giving the opportunity for the students to test drive both the 100% zero emission battery EV, the Nissan LEAF, and the electrified vehicle, Nissan Kicks e-POWER.

This activity aims to promote and support education in automotive engineering and technology, including electric vehicles, by sharing experience with students and professors. Nissan considers this action to be key to fostering a sustainable automotive ecosystem and way to promote EVs that contribute to a cleaner planet and a low-carbon society while shaping future innovators of the nation.
