"Nissan LEAF is the pioneer in popularizing electric vehicle for all. The new Nissan LEAF with Nissan Intelligent Mobility is sure to enable more motorists to experience the amazement of Nissan electric vehicle in their daily drives." said Ray Cheung, General Sales Manager, Honest Motors Ltd. – Nissan Hong Kong.

The new model sets a new standard in the growing market for mainstream electric vehicles by offering customers greater range, advanced technologies and a dynamic new design. Drivers will feel more confident, more excited and more connected thanks to the new Nissan LEAF's world's first e-Pedal, increased power and range, and improved refinement, comfort and convenience. The new, zero-emission Nissan LEAF is the icon of Nissan Intelligent Mobility, the company's approach to changing the way cars are driven, powered and integrated into society. The three key aspects of Nissan Intelligent Mobility exemplified by the new Nissan LEAF are Nissan Intelligent Driving, Nissan Intelligent Power and Nissan Intelligent Integration.

Advanced e-powertrain

The new Nissan LEAF offers a range of 311 km (NEDC), allowing drivers to enjoy a safer and longer journey. The new e-powertrain gives the new Nissan LEAF 110 kW of power output and 320 Nm of torque, improving acceleration to 7.9s from 0 to 100 km/h, satisfying the daily driving needs and boosting driver enjoyment.

World's first e-Pedal

The new Nissan LEAF's revolutionary e-Pedal technology transforms the way people drive. It lets drivers start, accelerate, decelerate and stop by increasing or decreasing the pressure applied to the accelerator. When the accelerator is fully released, regenerative and friction brakes are applied automatically, bringing the car to a complete stop. The car holds its position, even on steep uphill slopes, until the accelerator is pressed again. The reactiveness of the e-Pedal maximizes EV driving pleasure.

Drives with Nissan Intelligent Mobility

Along with the e-Pedal, the new Nissan LEAF is also packed with various Nissan Intelligent Mobility features further enhancing driving experience.

Intelligent Emergency Braking (IEB) monitors the surrounding area in front of the car, helping to avoid or reduce damage caused by collisions.

Intelligent Around View Monitor (IAVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD) provides a virtual bird's-eye view of the vehicle which allows the driver to quickly understand the vehicle and parking space orientation. If the cameras detect a moving object around the vehicle, either when the vehicle is stopped or when it starts moving, the system warns the driver with a display message and warning chime.

Intelligent Trace Control (ITC) helps automatically and smoothly apply small amounts of braking to individual wheels. The system corrects the vehicle trajectory to match the driver's commands, so the driver can maintain confidence while cornering.

Other advanced safety features include Hill Start Assist (HSA), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Driver Attention Alert (DAA), among others, offering drivers complete confidence during their cruise.

Exterior design: sleek silhouette and "cool tech attitude"

The new Nissan LEAF's design includes a low, sleek profile that gives it a sharp, dynamic look. Along with excellent aerodynamics, the styling – from the sleek silhouette to the car's "advanced expression" – evokes the exhilaration of driving an EV. Familiar Nissan design features include the signature boomerang-shaped lamps and V-motion flow in the front. The flash-surface grille in clear blue and the rear bumper's blue molding identify the car as a Nissan EV.

Spacious storage: load up for all daily needs

The flexible cargo space of the new Nissan LEAF comes with a boot capacity of up to 435 liters. All seats down with 60/40 split allows room for plenty of luggage. Even a full bike and be carried nicely with ease. Thanks to the low rear cargo floor, it is easier and more favorable to load.

Carefree recharge

Using CHAdeMO quick charger, the battery of the new Nissan LEAF can be charged up to 80% capacity in 40 minutes. With utilization of 220V 32A medium charging port, the battery is fully re-charged in eight hours. For single phase 220V standard charging equipment, the battery will be re-charged in 18 hours. There are over 1,500 charging stations in Hong Kong, users may also install an approved charging station through certified contractor, charging up the new LEAF has never been quicker or easier.

World's best-selling EV

LEAF is the world's first mass-produced – and also the world's best-selling – electric car. Over 400,000 units of the Nissan LEAF has been sold globally since the model first went on sale in 2010.
