• Significant change to Micra styling heralds more aggressive exterior look
  • Generous specification for ST manual, ST automatic and Ti grades

MELBOURNE, Australia – The 2015 Nissan Micra is now on-sale in Australia.

With a new exterior look, improved interior and new technology, the 2015 Micra marks the next chapter in the story of Nissan's remarkable small car: almost seven million examples have been sold globally since the original Micra appeared more than 30 years ago.

Micra now features the Nissan 'V-Motion' front grille as part of a new style that delivers a stronger, more assertive and dynamic look, with distinctive changes to its exterior that embodies the Nissan design.

The 2015 Micra receives a new bonnet, guards, restyled front and rear bumper, new front headlights and rear lamps as well as new wheels. In total, more than 50 per cent of the body panels have changed.

The 2015 Micra is more than just a facelift, with new technology and a new two-grade structure introduced for the popular city hatch along with its sportier stance and greater premium touches.

Inside, the trim and finishing surfaces have been enhanced with a higher quality look and feel. The interior features a new centre cluster, updated dashboard instrumentation and seat trim. Features such as cruise control, power windows, USB input, Auxiliary port and Bluetooth phone system with audio streaming are now standard.

The new-look Micra Ti adds 5.8-inch touch screen satellite navigation, reverse camera, LED rear lights and upgraded premium cloth interior trim from the previous Ti. The Ti grade also enjoys 15-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler, fog lights and auto headlights.

The 2015 Micra retains the efficient and reliable HR12DE engine, a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine producing 56 kilowatts of power and 104 Nm of torque, with fuel economy of 5.9-litres / 100 kilometres for the manual transmission grades and 6.5 litres / 100km for automatic grades.^

Micra, known as March in some countries, is built in four centres globally and sold worldwide. All cars destined for Australia are made in India, with the three other production sites being in Thailand, Mexico and China.
