Hanoi – Vietnam Automotive Industry Development Co., Ltd (VAD) – the exclusive distributor of Japanese carmaker Nissan officially launched the All-new Nissan Almera in Vietnam market.

PIONEERING THE 1.0L TURBOCHARGED ENGINE

The Almera's new, lighter 1.0-liter turbo engine, HRA0, delivers greater power and better fuel efficiency, with a maximum power output of 100 PS at 5,000RPM, torque of 152 Nm from 2400 to 4000 RPM. The new engine allows Nissan Almera to meet the needs of a B-class car in an outstanding way, combined with Turbo boost technology for smooth acceleration, eliminating Turbo lag, resulting in low emissions, great fuel economy while ensuring impressive performance and driving pleasure.

Together with 1.0 Turbo engine is the XTRONIC CVT (continuously variable transmission) which provides simple, efficient power delivery and better fuel economy than traditional transmissions. It features D-Step Logic technology, which creates exciting drive and provides a more refined power delivery and on-road experience for the driver when compared to a conventional CVT.

In addition to engine performance, the all-new Nissan Almera also satisfy customers with its outstanding fuel efficiency in the segment, at 4.2L / 100 km, thanks to its 1.0L Turbo engine and impressive technology upgrades, including:

Mirror Bore Coating – which is applied from the Nissan GT-R technology. Its bore spray coating help reduce cylinder friction and weight while improving heat management and combustion.
Idling Stop - which automatically stops the engine when the vehicle is brought to a stop at signals and then activates as the car sets off again, improves fuel economy by turning off the engine when stopped.

BREAKTHROUGH DESIGN IN EVERY DETAIL

The All-New Nissan Almera is reimagined under Nissan’s “Emotional Geometry” design language. Every corner, crease and curve of the All-New Nissan Almera worked together to create something spectacular. The dimension of the all-new Nissan Almera is 4,495 mm length, 1,740 mm width and 1460 mm height. The wheelbase is 2,620 mm and the clearance is 155mm

The model is equipped with a large boomerang-shaped Full LED headlamp cluster that embraces the daytime running LED strip, the characteristic V-motion grille, match with the arrow-shaped LED taillights. The rearview mirror of Nissan Almera is mounted on the body of the car instead of the A-pillar, which helps to expand the field of vision and limit the blind spot. This design also increases the aerodynamics of the car, for significantly better sound insulation. The two side mirrors have power-folding, electric adjustment feature, camera integration. In addition, the design of raised C-pillar and hood, combined with strong ribs along the side of the car, running from the front wheel arch, cut through the door handle and reaching the rear of the car, contributes to completing the strong character of the powerful and sporty Nissan Almera.

The highlight in the interior of Nissan Almera is the D-cut steering wheel. The Nissan Gliding Wing design philosophy is applied to the dashboard. The driver can feel the curve upward and away from the center console to give the impression of extended wings. Nissan Almera is equipped with a zero gravity driver's seat - designed based on Nasa technology, which simulates the human posture in a state of zero gravity to reduce pressure on the back, pelvis and upper body, bring the comfortable driving feeling and reducing fatigue. In addition, Nissan Almera also provides 7-inch advanced driver assistance screen - largest in segment and an 8-inch A-IVI entertainment screen.

In addition to the breakthrough design, Almera still retains the advantages of Nissan models with the leading dimensions in the segment, providing spacious space for the passengers and optimal storage capacity for the luggage compartment.

In addition to premium equipment and practical design, Nissan Almera also offers customers a comfortable and quiet interior thanks to additional soundproofing materials on the car body, under the bonnet, A-pillar and B- pillar.

LEADING INTELLIGENT TECHNOLOGY

This system gives drivers a complete view of all angles around its vehicle. The Moving Object Detection (MOD) monitors and signals for any moving object and pedestrians. The result is displayed in 8" Touch-screen Color Display Audio. The safety and innovation of this system are equal to larger premium cars.

Blind Spot Warning (BSW) - First in segment
The system detects a vehicle in an adjacent lane approaching from rear of the vehicle in a common blind spot, notifying the driver with indicator lights. If the driver activates the turn signal in this situation, the system alerts the driver with a chime and continuously flashes the indicator lights to assist the driver in avoiding a collision.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) - First in segment
This system warns drivers with an audio alert when there is risk of collision when a vehicle crossing into the path of a reversing car.

Hill Start Assist (HSA)
Traction control system (TCS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution System (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA) system, 6 airbags: Apart from Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies, the all-new Nissan Almera is also equipped with lots of safety equipment which increases safety both in terms of active and passive safety.
