- Plans to double dealer partners within the next five years
- Offers improved customer services within a globally consistent brand experience
- Announces new vice president sales and network for Indonesia
JAKARTA – Nissan today reinforced its growth strategy through a new mid-term plan for Indonesia. This includes a strong customer focus, product offensive and network expansion under the company's global mid-term plan Nissan M.O.V.E. to 2022.
Nissan has the ambition to double the number of dealer partners in Indonesia within the next five years. All Nissan-brand dealerships will align with the Nissan Retail Concept, or NRC. The new concept aims to improve all aspects of the customer experience at Nissan dealerships, including facility design, service process and digital environment. The initiatives are part of a realignment of Nissan's dealer network in Indonesia, which is aimed at providing a consistent, superior and differentiated brand experience to customers.
Nissan has been expanding its product offer under the Nissan and Datsun brands, starting with the launch of Datsun CROSS in March 2018. Nissan will continue this product offensive by introducing a range of cars across various segments in Indonesia in the mid-term, including a new SUV and MPV. Nissan Intelligent Mobility will guide the Nissan product evolution on how cars are powered, how cars are driven, and how cars are integrated in society, all while staying focused on creating more enjoyable driving experiences.
"Our aim is to redefine what Nissan means for our customers. We are introducing a comprehensive strategy to sustain our commitment to Indonesia and transform overall customer ownership experience through innovative products, technologies and enhanced services," said Eiichi Koito, president director Nissan Motor Indonesia.
The sales and network strategy are led by newly appointed vice president sales for Indonesia, Alan Caugant.
"Nissan has a clear plan to deliver sales and aftersales business. This plan is about giving customers more options through the Nissan Customer Power 2022 initiative. We will also expand business through retail and corporate and fleet sales. For example, Nissan will establish Nissan Business Centers to provide fleet customers with enhanced service and aftercare through various initiatives," said Alan Caugant.
Alan Caugant brings with him strong automotive experience across many markets including Europe, China and Latin America.
