MELBOURNE – Nissan has continued its ongoing Australian sales drive with its eleventh consecutive monthly sales record, this time in March.
Nissan delivered 8,327 new cars in Australia last month, its best-ever local March sales result and the second-highest monthly sales figure it has achieved in Australia.
The company's strong March sales result closes an outstanding fiscal year (April-March) for the Nissan brand in Australia. Having delivered close to 84,000 new vehicles during this period means Nissan has grown more than 20% compared to the previous fiscal year, a remarkable result given the Australian new-vehicle market grew around only 10% over the same period. Nissan's latest Australian fiscal year result makes it one of the fastest-growing auto brands in the country. In fact, its 2012 fiscal year performance is its highest since the company was incorporated locally in 1966.

NAVARA
- Record-breaking fiscal year (more than 27,400 units sold)
- FY2012 volume 30% higher compared to FY2011
DUALIS
- Record-breaking result with more than 14,300 sold in FY12
- FY2012 volume 52.7% higher than FY2011
X‑TRAIL
- Record-breaking result with more than 15,600 sold during FY2012
- FY12 volume 13.2% higher than FY2011
PULSAR SEDAN
- Sales 28% higher than February 2013
- More than 1,630 units sold
MURANO
- Up 57% over February 2013
- Best month of Murano sales since August 2012
- Best fiscal year result since FY2010 (more than 2,040 sold)
MICRA
- Sales up more than 90% over February 2013
LEAF
- Best month of local sales since launch month (June 2012)
